Day 2 Mass indoctrination

in MCGI Cares Hive4 years ago

It was an exciting and wonderful session again today with Bro Eli shedding light on the core doctrines of God as being established in his scriptures.

1 Corinthians 1:1-2 Paul, called to be an apostle of Christ Jesus by the will of God, and our brother Sosthenes,
To the church of God in Corinth, to those sanctified in Christ Jesus and called to be his holy people, together with all those everywhere who call on the name of our Lord Jesus Christ —their Lord and ours:<

Thank God for his grace, the body of Christ is called the church of God.
About 11 verses in the Bible mentioning the church of God. If the bible has already established the fact that there's only one church and that was church of God, why do we have so many churches today which are called differently to what was given in the first place, why do we have Jehovah's witnesses, Lutheran Church and the Catholic Church among others.
This is not meant to condemn anyone but it should be taken in good faith and trace our steps back on right track.

Another point is raising our hands and saying we have received Christ is not all that is to be called a disciple of Christ, when we accept Jesus, we also accept the responsibility to live our lives to please him.
Really it burdens my heart to see how people have made it a habit of responding to the altar calls and rededicating theirs lives over and again without any visible signs of the work of God in them. No repentance, no transformation.

Therefore, as many who have and who will profess Jesus as our Lord and savior, we are all enjoined to follow the foundation that has been already laid down.
May God help us all.
Join us again tomorrow for another exposition in the word of God.
