The Bible says it's not just sufficient to pray, we do not just pray for God to receive us, but when we pray, we also start doing what God wants us to do. Once we hear God’s Word, we must act on it to be transformed by it.
Bro. Eli Soriano makes us to understand that if we pray day and night but is stagnant and stationary, and do not move to follow God, then our prayers will be in vain. Let us see what Matthew 7:7 says;
Ask, and it shall be given you: Seek and ye shall find : Knock, it shall be opened unto you.
That is the teaching of our Lord Jesus Christ, asking means praying to God for maybe your daily bread, but then stay indoors all day without going out to work, your daily bread will not fall down from heaven, no. You ask in prayers, then you seek and then knock, you have to employ action, you do not just pray, you pray and act. So it is not just sufficient to pray alone.
If you are praying for a house, do you start dreaming of a house that will come down from the clouds. After praying, you seek for money by working to bring your dream house to actualization. You seek to be employed, you seek for opportunities and then you save from your earnings. When you have have gathered enough money, you can then build yourself a house.
So we understand that it's not just enough to pray but that we have to act also, God wants us to work, He doesn't want us to be lazy or be dependent on other people's work to take care of ourselves. We must eat our own bread. If we pray and then seek, God will make us to find and when we knock, He will open the doors of opportunities for us, the door of a chance to live peacefully and honestly. Ask and act, that's what the Bible says.
Thank you very much for your continuous support🙏
As we pray, we should put our faith to work
