If you are a man, what is meant by God for you is a prudent wife. If you are a woman, what is meant by God for you is a prudent man also. How will you know if your partner is meant for you by God?
Proverbs 19:14 says;
"Houses and riches are the inheritance of fathers: and a prudent wife is from the LORD."
The right partner must be the one that helps you in your relationship with God, not the one that harms it. If your relationship pulls you away from the things of God, then it's definitely the wrong one.
Proverbs 13:20 says;
“Whoever walks with the wise becomes wise, but the companion of fools will suffer harm.”
Now test his/her prudence and it is up to you to decide if he or she is meant for you.
1 Corinthians 1:19 says;
"For it is written, I will destroy the wisdom of the wise, and will bring to nothing the understanding of the prudent."
There is prudence that is nothing in the sight of the Lord. If you can not see prudence in your boyfriend or girlfriend, then stop it. Wait for another to come along your way. After all there are so many men and women on earth. You can wait for the right time, the right place because love comes from the most unexpected places and it can also come at the most unexpected time of one's life.
Christ said that we shall know them by their fruit. So what effect is that relationship having on your character development and spiritual growth?
