I want to share with you ,What I learnt from today's Mass indoctrination on Obeying and making sacrifices unto God
Philippians 4:15-16
Now ye Philippians know also, that in the beginning of the gospel, when I departed from Macedonia, no church communicated with me as concerning giving and receiving, but ye only.
For even in Thessalonica ye sent once and again unto my necessity.
They offered to Paul willingly.
The church should not levy the brethren on what to offer in the church, offerings should be willingly.
Another voluntary act is making vows unto God.
Psalm 116: 17-18
I will offer to thee the sacrifice of thanksgiving, and will call upon the name of the Lord.
I will pay my vows unto the Lord now in the presence of all his people.
We should offer offerings of thanksgiving to God continuously.
Hebrews 13:15
By him therefore let us offer the sacrifice of praise to God continually, that is, the fruit of our lips giving thanks to his name.
2 CORINTHIANS 9:7
Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver.
People shouldn't be forced to give to God, you are the one who will decide how much you will give not the pastor or the preacher. Giving should come from the heart not forcefully.
