Bible references: Roman 2:4, Acts 17:27–28, Acts 18:2, Matthew 13:3–8, Luke 8:11–12, 1 Peter 5:8, Ezekiel 36:26–28, Acts 13:7

It is expected that the whole of mankind seek God. Just like there is a manufacturer of a product, there is also a creator responsible for you and I and it is our duty to seek Him. In times past, there was once a time we believers derailed from the pathway of God.

Ephesians 2:12 - That at that time ye were without Christ, being aliens from the commonwealth of Israel, and strangers from the covenants of promise, having no hope, and without God in the world:
13 - But now in Christ Jesus ye who sometimes were far off are made nigh by the blood of Christ.

We should be really grateful to God for His grace and mercy because it is through them that we are reconciled to God. People are at disadvantage if they don't have Christ in their life. We don't live our lives without knowing the purpose for God putting us on this earth. Living our lives without knowing God is not a wise thing to do. We need to know Christ for ourselves and how we do it is by accepting Him first. By doing so, we are recognized by God in Heaven. Here is what happens when we accept Christ to have His way in our lives:

Ezekiel 36:26 - A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you: and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you an heart of flesh.

It is our nature as humans to have stony hearts. Brother Eli discussed on a parable about the sower. There was a case of the seeds falling on stony places. Such surface prevents the seeds from germinating and bearing fruit. The surface here talks about the nature of the heart. People with stony hearts resists the word of God.

That was the case of many of us untill we allowed God to deal with our hearts and made it receptive towards His word. The word of God is what Jesus brought to us so that we might know how to live our lives in accordance to God's will.
