Obedience to God's will

While Jesus was on earth, his heartbeat was to do the will of the father who sent him. One of the attributes that identifies us as disciples of Christ is by doing his will with the whole of our hearts.

Hebrews 5:9 - And being made perfect, He became the source of eternal salvation, to all who obey Him.

This verse encapsulates the essence of our faith and the path to eternal life. It reminds us of Jesus Christ, who willingly embraced obedience to fulfill God's plan of salvation. And being made perfect refers to Jesus, who, as the Son of God, was already sinless, but perfected His earthly mission, through obedience.

Through His perfect life and ultimate sacrifice, on the cross, He became the source of eternal salvation. The phrase, "eternal salvation," assures us that through Christ's sacrifice, we can attain salvation, forgiveness, and reconciliation with God. This salvation isn't temporary or limited. It is everlasting, offering hope, peace, and restoration.

This verse teaches us that obedience to God is not merely a duty. It is the gateway to eternal life. Just as, Jesus submitted to the Father's will, we are called to surrender our lives and obey His commandments. By doing so, we not only find salvation, but also experience the fullness of joy, peace, and purpose that God has in store for us.

It is good that we obey the will of God

When we understand the Word of God, we will not be able to do His will.

Obedience to the word of God is the only way to spend eternity with God
