It thrills our hearts when we are privileged to know the truth in God's word. When we truly understand what the truth is about the account we are having in the Bible, it helps us in deriving the lessons that such story brings.
The story of the giants in the Bible as recorded in Genesis 6:4 is one story that we have had wrong perception about. We have always believe that the giants were very big humans (extra huge and tall persons). But Bro Eli Soriano opened my eyes to realize that they were not just ordinary humans.
Bro Eli Soriano explained that ordinary humans who possess the gene of gigantism are rather weak and sickly. That is opposed to the account in the Bible. These people were men of renounce. There were those who have great influence and do mighty thing. They were strong and mighty. They were not weak and sickly.
The giants in the Bible were the products of cross-breed between the sons of God and the daughters of men. The sons God there refers to the angels. It was when the angels went in unto the daughter of men and took them wives that they produced giants who were the mighty men of old.
