Death means something good to us. If you are a true christian, you will not be worried about death. We have learnt that God can lengthen our days if we fear Him. The Bible says that the fear of God gives long life. The idea of death does not mean altogether bad.
If you are a person who does not honour God in your life, death could be a fearful thing to you. Death could mean damnation to someone who does not fear God. Yes, after death is the judgement. For the wicked, the judgement will give them the rewards of their evil works. Sinners will be sent to hell for their sinful lives. So, anyone who lives in disobedience to the commandments of God can be afraid of death.
To the righteous, death can sometimes mean salvation. God will take away the righteous person in order to deliver him from the evil that might be coming. When the righteous person is approaching a problem which he might not be able to withstand, God can take him away.
There's time for everything. Everything that has a beginning surely has an end as well
