Shout out to all @mcgi friends here. Behind the scene is your friend @wisdombank.
Happy Sunday in arias 😄. I had it all planned out to make this post yesterday, but there was no power supply(NEPA). And I wasn't happy about it because I felt yesterday would have been a perfect day for this post, notwithstanding.
It’s my lifestyle to go to church on Sundays as God commanded in Deuteronomy chapter 5 verse 12.
It’s a new year and I know that majority of us made plans and/have goals to accomplish before the year runs out. This is why I would like to share the topic above which will help us achieve our goals. The key word in the topic is COMMITMENT.
Commitment means dedication to a particular course.
There are times in my life as a Christian, I do not feel like going to church, especially when the weather is very cold.
And I know you feel same too a times. Not only that, including:
OUR PERSONAL WALK WITH GOD.
We substitute our prayer time, reading of the word for movies (especially seasonal movies)
OUR BUISNESSES OR WORKPLACE
We feel reluctant to step out when we less meet our expectations (profit) for the day, we often get discouraged. Even acting lackadaisical towards work due to the less satisfactory payment we receive.
ACADEMICS
As a student, feeling reluctant to attend lectures because we find the courses uninteresting.
IN OUR HOMES
As a mother and wife, are you committed to your family?
Truth is, doing things out of convenience does not give us the results we so desire. Am I communicating somebody?
Being committed may not be easy but the result is worth it. So here are recipes to help us stay committed to fulfilling our goals:
In Matthew chapter 26 verse 39 - Amplified Bible (AMP)
And after going a little farther, He fell face down and prayed, saying, “My Father, if it is possible [that is, consistent with Your will], let this cup pass from Me; yet not as I will, but as You will.”
Firstly, from the passage above, consistent can be achieved by drawing strength in the place of prayer.
Secondly, willingness; we must be willing to be committed in all aspects; we are meant to serve God by commitment and not by convenience.
Thirdly, sacrifice: we must offer ourselves, our time and resources for things that are our priority.
Lastly, set priorities right: This involves having a scale of preference of what is more important to you; from the most important to the least important, so that you can channel the right energy to it.

I hope this topic meets you well.
