John 14:12 KJV
Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.
Jesus Christ only preached for 3years on earth and Apostle Paul preached for several years on earth. Truly Apostle Paul did greater things than Christ. And the work that he did not show that he did more than the lord Jesus Christ.
I believe that Apostle Paul did more than the Lord Jesus Christ because through the position Jesus took after His resurrection at the right hand of God enables every to do more than Jesus in his days on earth. Jesus daily interceeds for us.
The thief on the cross doesn't have the opportunity to sing praises to the Lord.
Psalm 92:1 KJV
It is a good thing to give thanks unto the Lord, and to sing praises unto thy name, O most High:
You cannot praise God if you are the thief the cross. Not with a broken leg, thones on the head and spare on the sides.
The situation of the of the thief makes his faith to be sufficient for his salvation but if he will live more days he will need good works
2 Timothy 3:17 KJV
That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works.
You have to do good works, and your good works is not a filthy rag before God, because it is done in God.
Philippians 2:13 KJV
For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure.
To do good works, Christ must be with you, God must be with you. Because you cannot do good works with out Gods help.
John 15:5 KJV
I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing.
God said without me you can do nothing. If you can do good work, or the righteousness God commanded us, God must be with you. He is the one that work in us both to will and to do of His good pleasure.
How can someone say that our righteousness is like filthy rag. No never, our righteousness is done with the help of the father so it is pure and acceptable before him.
Hebrews 6:10 KJV
For God is not unrighteous to forget your work and labour of love, which ye have shewed toward his name, in that ye have ministered to the saints, and do minister.
If you are doing good works according to Apostles Paul, God won't forget it. Especially when it is done in Love.
We must understand that our good works we qualify us to have eternal life.
