We've got some HUGE news to release -- the very first #HiveHustlers dApp has officially been launched + LIVE!
hiveBIT.io was first conceptualized because I, @nulledgh0st, found it as a personal hindrance when trying to keep track of my Hive trades/growth/potential & tax liability for the year - the only tools that existed for Hive were simply integrations from major exchanges already listed, but absolutely NOTHING for Hive wallets themselves.
Existing exchange wallets only recorded Hive coming in and out of them - and tracking stopped there. Nothing had been recording data and able to export that data in a human-readable format for $Hive / $HBD on our various platforms itself (PeakD.com, LeoFinance.io, CTPTalk.io, Hive.blog, 3speak.online, and others).
This feature is INCREDIBLY important since governments are cracking down on tax laws related to the cryptosphere, so keeping accurate books is extremely important both in reporting/filing properly, while maximizing your deductions.
hiveBIT is free to anyone with a Hive account:
https://hiveBIT.io
and enter the few pieces of info required (simply your Hive account username, and an email address where we can send your exported data to),
Premium API access is available for a payment of:
$25 in Hive / HBD yearly - or, for you devilish $HUSTLER stakeholders out there, $20/yr in $HUSTLER tokens (per each year).
HOWEVER: As a promotion, the first (10) people to pay us (directly, @hiveBIT here on Hive) will receive 50% off - meaning:
$12.50 in $Hive / $HBD, or $10 in $HUSTLER tokens.
Please note, the API function is beginning to work on a few platforms currently, but give us time to build out even MORE platforms that accept and integrate our API. We are expanding daily!
Easily Export Your Hive Transaction History For Tax/Accounting Purposes w/ @HiveBit!
50% of ALL $HUSTLER tokens received as payment for this service will be BURNT immediately - helping to drastically reduce the overall token circulation cap, which should help boost the price up tremendously.
Our community tokenomics are going to drastically change within the next few days - we discuss things on Discord first before pushing the news out here to Hive,
SO, if you're not already in our Discord, now's your chance to click on the banner below and join:
And a HUGE shoutout to @rishi556 for his massive contributions to the backend code - this project would NOT have been possible without his help - consider donating to him, please, so that he can keep pushing out amazing developments for Hive and our communities!
This is so essential! As much as we don't like or care about the goverment, things left undone, can be a headache down the road. Better play the game within the rules.
There's plenty of room to win anyways. Can't imagine having to fork out a ton of money in 5 years time, for leaving things to luck.
I'm using Koinly right now to sort my situation here in Australia and it's a breeze, so having this is going to save me a lot of time and also the future headaches.
I'll be paying my sub with $hustler so it's a win-win.
Thanks Heaps!
You're definitely right, brotha! Most people in the cryptosphere think that it's impenetrable, that they're impervious to the reach of law here, but the truth is that's a not true.
Every legit exchange requires KYC for a reason. Govt's want to know who's buying and holding what and when.
They want their slice of the pie, always - on the US forms, there is now a question that asks something to the effect of "Do you hold or control ownership in any digital assets/cryptocurrencies?"
While holding isn't a "taxable event", every time you sell a single token/trade/etc, it becomes a taxable event.
People don't understand that concept. ANd with Hive, many of us get hundreds of transactions a day between vote payouts/post payouts/comments/etc etc.
If we want crypto to survive the future, we have to pay the piper. So a crypto tax service, while appearing silly to most right now, is actually going to be a massive industry very, very soon, mark my words.
Sounds like a cool tool to have. I can definitely see it easily be of great value for those that want easy connectivity between their crypto and tax accounting.
It's also great from the perspective of accurate portfolio tracking, since it tracks cost-basis and such, too.
😏
Is hiveBIT still in service? I tried it a while ago and did not receive anything in my inbox. With tax season coming up, the service is going to be essential.
Hello, that service is currently not running. We are currently in transition as far as management goes, as this service is being taken over by me, @thelogicaldude. I wasn't updated for the last hard fork from my understanding. I literally just acquired the business today and had allot to get done. HiveBit is on the list to try and get done by the end of the month, but not making any promises. And yes, I totally agree it is going to be a huge tax help.
Great. Appreciate it. It's free for now. But, if you had to charge a nominal fee, it would still be worth it.
Are you still working on this? The site appears to be down...
Hello, HiveHustlers is under new management by @thelogicaldude and for now this project has been put on the back burner due to lack of interest and the need for allot more development, or so I have been told by the original developer. It was taken down durning the account changeovers.
Is anything going to come back online with this?
The other day I was looking for a dApp which lets me download my blockchain history so that I can review it fir various reasons. Today I saw HiveBit listed at Dapp.com and I went to use it; the browser told me the site cannot be reached.
I realize that demand for HiveBit is low at the moment, but that may change with the boom Hive has received from the increase in account signups thanks to Splinterlands as well as the reecnt ATH-producing pumps. As you noted earlier, governments will want their cut and expect us to justify crypto earnings and taxable events.
If HiveBit is not available, would you know of an alternate dApp which at least shows one's blockchain history on one page? This would make it easier to save the page for offline processing later the old-fashioned way.
For now that project is on the back burner but there have been talks or trying to update it. From my understanding it is way behind as far as there are some code updates for more recent hard forks that needed to be done and some performance issues. I am not a backend dev like that and the dev that was originally working on it has moved on.
