They should be fine outside as long as they don't freeze and don't stay wet when it is very cold.
You could also try with Sempervivums - those can handle snow and frosts in the garden.

Thank you will look into it. i brought both plants in they do seem to be dead. So will try again soon.
Ohhh pity. Not even single leaf to save and propagate?
