I have not been around here for a long time, so first of all, I greet you, I hope you are very well here, and that your cactus and succulents are as beautiful as this one that today I come to share, and as any proud mother, I could not fail to show you this beauty, which today gave me the opportunity to photograph and thus share its beauty with you, and these last few weeks between the heat and the ants have not allowed me to enjoy the flowers of the cactus as I would like to do it.
The ants have become for a while now my biggest enemies, this Giant (Nyctocereus serpentinus) yesterday only showed at least three flowers, of which only one, this one that I show you, was the one that managed to bloom completely, and it is that the ants at night make disasters, I have placed cinnamon, coffee, baking soda, and still they continue appearing, my supposition applying a little the logic, is that by the heat so exhausting that makes, and that really the water this scarce by this zone, makes that the ants look for to eat the cactus in search of liquid.
Very early I noticed the beautiful flower and ran out to get my camera to capture it, as these tend to close very quickly, in fact, after photographing it, I went to wash the dishes in the kitchen and when I passed by its place again, it had already closed, that is, it was just the right time when I saw it.
Some of my cacti have begun to run away from the sun, mainly the elongated mammillarias, which are in a window where the sun gives them direct and you can see how they run away, and is that the sun these days is inclement and even these small ones that are adapted, run away. I hope you enjoy this beautiful flower as much as I enjoyed it. Until next time.

Desde hace largo rato no me doy una vuelta por aquí, así que primero que nada, les saludo, espero se encuentren muy bien por aquí, y que sus cactus y suculentas estén tan hermosas como este que hoy les vengo a compartir, y es que como toda madre orgullosa, no podía dejar de mostrarles esta hermosura, que hoy me dio la oportunidad de poder fotografiar y poder de esta manera compartir su belleza con ustedes, y es que estas últimas semanas entre el calor y las hormigas no me han permitido disfrutar de las flores de los cactus como me gustaría hacerlo.
Las hormigas se han vuelto de un tiempo para acá mis mayores enemigas, este Gigante (Nyctocereus serpentinus) ayer nada más asomaba por lo menos tres flores, de las cuales solo una, esta que les muestro, fue la que logro florecer por completo, y es que, las hormigas en las noches hacen desastres, les he colocado canela, café, bicarbonato de sodio, y de igual siguen apareciendo, mi suposición aplicando un poco la lógica, es que por el calor tan extenuante que hace, y que realmente el agua esta escaseando por esta zona, hace que las hormigas busquen comerse los cactus en busca de líquido.
Muy temprano me percate de la hermosa flor y salí corriendo a buscar mi cámara para capturarla, ya que estas tienden a cerrarse muy rápido, de hecho, luego de fotografiarla, me dispuse a lavar los trastes de la cocina y cuando pase de nuevo por su lugar, ya se había cerrado, es decir, era el momento justo cuando la vi.
Algunos de mis cactus han comenzado a huir del sol, principalmente las mamilarias alargadas, que están en una ventada en donde les da el sol directamente y se nota como le huyen, y es que el sol estos días esta inclemente y hasta estos pequeños que están adaptados, le huyen. Espero que disfruten de esta hermosa flor tanto como me la disfrute yo. Hasta una próxima oportunidad.
