Hello Hivers passionate about succulent plants. In today's article I want to share with you five of my new hybrids obtained in my private collection. In my career as a biologist I began to collect a wide variety of succulent plants belonging to various plant groups. Over the years I decided to specialize my collection in a specific group of succulents to become professional in their cultivation and reproduction. Currently I consider myself a specialist in the cultivation of succulent plants belonging to the Stapeliinae subtribe of the Apocynaceae family with several years of experience. Today I have 63 hybrids of my own already flowered (adults) that I am personally registering with the KMP code. These hybrids are generally achieved by manual crossings that I carry out with the help of a stereoscopic microscope, a good hand and a very fine tip tweezers. The other hybrids are generated thanks to natural pollination (flies) that occur in my collection.

Hola Hivers apasionados por las plantas suculentas. En el artículo de hoy quiero compartir con ustedes cinco de mis nuevos híbridos obtenidos en mi colección privada. En mi carrera como biólogo comencé a coleccionar una amplia diversidad de plantas suculentas pertenecientes a diversos grupos vegetales. Con el paso de los años decidí especializar mi colección en un grupo de suculentas específico para profesionalizarme en su cultivo y reproducción. Actualmente me considero especialista en el cultivo de plantas suculentas pertenecientes a la subtribu Stapeliinae de la familia Apocynaceae con varios años de experiencia. Cuento a día de hoy con 63 híbridos propios ya florecidos (adultos) que voy registrando personalmente con el código KMP. Dichos híbridos generalmente logrados por cruces manuales que realizo con ayuda de un microscopio estereoscópico, un buen pulso y una pinza de punta muy fina. Los demás híbridos se generan gracias a polinizaciones naturales (moscas) que ocurren en mi colección.

Additionally, I have 1,500 hybrids still in the growth phase that should flower in approximately one or two years and dozens of fruits with thousands of seeds to sow. The development of hundreds of these new hybrids will allow me to encourage the cultivation of this group of succulents in my country and enrich the variety of plants in the ornamental plant market. My main objective is that my work encourages new growers to collect these beautiful succulents and spread my hybrids all over the world.

Adicionalmente, poseo 1500 híbridos aún en fase de crecimiento que deben florecer en aproximadamente en uno o dos años y decenas de frutos con miles de semillas para sembrar. El desarrollo de cientos de estos nuevos híbridos me permitirá fomentar el cultivo de este grupo de suculentas en mi país y enriquecer la variedad de plantas del mercado de plantas ornamentales. Como objetivo principal deseo que mi trabajo incentive a nuevos cultivadores a coleccionar estas hermosas suculentas y difundir mis híbridos por todo el mundo.
