Flowering of my Gymnocalycium mihanovichii

in Succulent growers3 years ago (edited)

I have many different Gymnocalyciums as I like them very much.
For their long and beautiful flowering, from spring to late autumn.

Under natural conditions, there are about a hundred types of hymnocalycium.
But only some of them are cultivated at home.

The Gymnocalycium in the photo is called Gymnocalycium mihanovichii.

He is not demanding in care.
It has an attractive appearance, and most importantly blooms in different conditions.

Gymnocalycium Mikhanovich loves bright light, but it should be protected from the hot summer sun.

The recommended temperature for keeping hymnocalycium in summer is + 24-25 ° C, but in Cyprus this temperature occurs only in spring and autumn.
My Gymnocalyciums withstand, forcedly :-), up to + 38 °C.

In winter, the temperature should be reduced to + 15-18 ° C,
temperature drops below +5 °C are not allowed.
But then again, mine can withstand a lower one, well, if they have no other choice :-)

The photos I were taken with a Lenovo TAB 2 A10-70L tablet

Lovely! What cactus is on the right side below the astrophytum in the first photo?

Many thanks!
I think it's Lobivia, but I don't know which one.
The cactus is small, it has not bloomed yet, the pot is 5.5 cm.
We have to wait for the flowers.
