Strange Copiapoa

in Succulent growers4 years ago (edited)

This is my first Copiapoa, I have 2 of them.
Having brought her home, I transplanted her as always.
And took a picture so you can see her root system.

She took root perfectly and two appendages appeared.
At first she grew normally, and then suddenly began to change shape.

At first she reminded me of a bottle of champagne (to each his own), and then she became like skittles. Again my opinion :-)

In general, she wanted to stand out, not like everyone else :-)

The photos I were taken with a Lenovo TAB 2 A10-70L tablet

Nice tap root!

I would think she doesn't have enough light that she is stretching so much...
Or maybe she just wants to be taller :)

Thanks a lot for your support!
Yes, she wants to be taller :-)
Copiapoa is elongated, less common. But she still has a strange shape :-)
She stands in direct sunlight and receives a lot of light.

I agree that she seems to need very strong sunlight. I love the purple cacti!

I really like purple cacti and brown ones.
Copiapoa is in direct sunlight all the time and receives a lot of daylight.
Copiapoa, rarely, but it happens it is elongated, but still it's a strange shape :-))
She decided to surprise me :-)
