With stress (heat or lack of water) the leaves close and get this reddish colour.
Oops. Now I am thinking does it apply also to Ruby Blush? The big plant doesn't have those reddish peaks, but the smaller ones yes.

Hmm.. It probably does to some extent. It naturally has the red colour even without the stress. But why the little ones are more red than the grownup?
