With the arrival of the winter season the probabilities of some plants dying increase, not only because of the cold but also because of the occasional rains, besides as I have not stopped sowing seeds it was necessary to do something.
During this week I was working on a low cost greenhouse, using a metal structure forgotten in the garden, unfortunately I did not take pictures from the beginning because I was more focused on doing the work than taking pictures, there was rain forecast for the end of the year so I had to hurry, I started taking pictures yesterday when I went to the sawmill to get some wood.
I only needed some wood since the structure is made of metal, so the boards I needed fit perfectly in the trunk of my car. The day I covered the structure I put some of the plants that will be in there, the greenhouse measures 47.5 inches on each side, it is a square structure.

As you can see the plastic with which it is covered is not for greenhouse, but for the moment it will fulfill its purpose which is to keep the plants dry and covered from the cold, it is probable that it does not keep much heat at night, but without a doubt they will be less cold than outdoors.
I used these Shelf Brackets to make four shelves to put pots that will be cacti and mainly grafts and seedlings.
As soon as I put the wood in, the appearance is totally different.
The photographs will definitely come out much better here.
My concern about the seedlings is not surprising, I have sown a lot of Astrophytum seeds of Thai origin, they are special cultivars that have cost me a lot, there are some that I must graft soon, like the red one.
Damn, I couldn't stop myself from sowing more gymnos.
By the way, some of my mammillarias are in bloom, like this nivosa that will go inside the greenhouse, the other one is in the community pot and will stay outside.
Some of my favorite cacti will go inside the greenhouse along with the grafts.
As the plastic is transparent, I put a shade cloth on the sides to reduce the intensity of the morning and afternoon sun, in the middle of the day the larger shade mesh will do the job from above.
At the moment I only put one lamp in the greenhouse, it is the one with which I was germinating the last seedlings and I plan to add another 3 lamps to give a little more hours of light per day.
This is how it looks from the outside.
And this is how it looks at the end, in total 66 seedlings fit inside and there are still about 20 left outside, but I will find another place for them because they have already germinated and in fact they have already grown, they are almost ready to uncover the seedbed, there are some pots that I will take out of the greenhouse in the next few days, I will just wait for the rain alert to pass because my idea is to keep seedlings and grafts inside the greenhouse.
Another one of my ideas is to only keep cacti inside the greenhouse, I only put this pot of succulents in because I like it too much and I want to see how it does in the greenhouse, so far for the moment, I wish you Happy New Year.
Looks great for the seedlings and it should work well
I hope it works, I'm still missing some details and accessories like the hygrometer to avoid cooking them when it's hot, tomorrow I'll go buy one, happy new year.
Thank you @ackhoo 😉
Looks really good. And they seem to be very happy.
