Last update this month on what's new in my garden.

Well continuing with what I have done in the garden I must say that I have also made some purchases, even when I no longer want to make them there is always something I feel I need to have, whether seeds or new plants to satisfy my vice, today I am going to tell you about that.

For example I bought this astrophytum asterias super kabuto, also a grafted asterias and a gymnocalycium ragonesei, and as a gift I got an astrophytum myriostigma quadricostatum, but not only that, I also bought 100 mini succulents and 300 square pots, the idea is to sell these pots with my niece and some pots I will use to prepare my grafts.

When the plants arrived they were quite dehydrated and it was to be expected because of the trip, so I had to get to work and make the pots, that was almost two weeks ago.

At the moment the succulents look like this, and if they look wet it is because this weekend we had a hurricane that brought a lot of rain, I hope it doesn't affect the health of the plants and that is something I will know in a few more days, for different reasons I have not been able to sell the succulents, I had thought of going to my brother in law's business (my niece's father) but they have had a lot of work in the business and I have had to be the babysitter of my nieces, I don't worry because the more time passes the plants should grow more, although with the rain of this weekend I am a little worried.

To make more community pots I needed tezontle which I have already told you is lava rock, and what better than to go to the source, so I went to a mine where they mine it all the time, it was very cheap to go buy it there.

I think this community pot is my favorite, and the truth is that I only picked black colored rock to give a better contrast in the pictures, by the way I put here some of the cactus that my niece had, she is a little 10 years old so there was a moment when she neglected it, some plants started to etiolate and some others got sunburned, so I hope they will recover in this new place.

There's even room for some succulents on the stone wall that I put up, but I'll show that in more detail in the future.

I am still working on the grafts with the seeds I have sown, I have had quite a few problems but every day I learn something new, so far the grafts from three days ago look like this, these are on echinopsis of which I have a lot of offshoots so I have to put them to use.

Part of the new 300 square pots are for this, so here comes an army of graft holders. Of course, I need to let them grow more and not be as desperate as I have been so far.

1666569345009.jpg

I had left the pereskiopsis in oblivion because I had many problems to graft, the conditions were not favorable because of my inexperience and so much humidity, so I am reproducing it again to see if I get a better result this time.

Now I am using this method and it seems to be better, I even grafted an obregonia denegrii successfully, something I hadn't been able to do before.

And well that would be all for the moment, apparently we are already up to date and from now on all I will post will be new pictures and data on whether my cacti like to be in community pots, see you soon.

Oh my.. unboxing all the plants must have been super fun!
The community pot looks good. I can wait to see the cacti grow bigger.

One of the best experiences I can assure you. Sorry for replying so late.
