Hello Hivers passionate about growing succulent ornamental plants in this community. In this publication I want to share with you some of the results that I am obtaining from a hybrid cross that I made a couple of years ago between the plant x Staparesia meintjesii and Orbea semota orientalis in my collection. For the crossing I needed a stereoscopic microscope to achieve the magnification necessary for artificial pollination. This cross resulted in more than 20 viable seeds that gave rise to hybrid plants with highly variable genotypes. In this publication I want to show you 4 varieties resulting from this crossing with evident variability in the flowers.
4 hybrid varieties from the crossing of x Staparesia meintjesii and Orbea semota orientalis
Currently there are more than 10 that are developing flower buds and others still in juvenile development. I hope you like these results and I would really like you to tell me which one or which ones are your favorites so far. See you very soon in a new update of this hybrid series. Even the name of the series is yet to be decided. Any name suggestion is welcome.
