Haworthias are such interesting plants, a group of succulents that fascinate me. I have a tiny collection of haworthias as these are quite expensive and only a few varieties are available in the local markets here. The ones that I have have been painstakingly collected from online sellers from various parts of my country.
Haworthias are problem free succulents. They are slow growers.
Its very important to plant them in well draining cacti soil. Any lingering moisture leads to leaf and root rot. A good top layer of pumice helps keep the moisture away from the plants. Well I don't have this pumice stone layer as I've run of the these.
Like all succulents don't like being watered heavily or over the top.
As far as sunlight requirements are concerned these don't do too well in direct sunlight. Partial sunlight , but bring light for 6-8 helps them grow faster. These plant do make a lot of pups. I usually buy one small plant and let it fill the pot. It takes years but they do look amazing when they fill out.
In our kind of climatic condition I fertilize the plant once in a couple of months. This helps the plants produce pups faster.
Hawworthia zebra and haworthia retusa and howorthia cooperi are my absolute favourites.
The haworthia zebra turns brown in summer due to the heat and light conditions. I prefer to keep it in the shade to prevent discoloration.
Haworthia retusa leaf is has translucent windows which makes it possible to see insides of the leaves with the naked eye.
The haworthia cooperi also has triangular leaves. These leaves have the translucent leaf windows. The colors of this plant changes from slightly reddish to deep copper color depending on exposure to light. In the tropical weather these plants can easily be sun scorched if left in direct sun light. Keeping them in brightly lit places with long hours of light enhances the look and the growth of the plant.
Haworthia cymbiformis is another beautiful plant which prefers filtered bright light. Mine has had too much light and is showing signs of drying up. I seem to have left it with the other plants in direct light leading to bleaching of leaf and scorching.
On my wish list are the haworthia truncata, picturata, and chocolate. I haven't seen haworthia chocolate in the local market so far, the others are right now beyond my budget lol.
I don't know these plants, they seem so interesting.
They look beautiful and has a lot of interesting features.
I wish I know more of it's importance.
You are doing awesome with the plants.
Loving, caring and growing them is not easy.

Succulents are ornamental desert plants which don't need much care and can be grown by people who forget to water their plants. They are very forgiving.
Much appreciated. Have a great day. Thanks @jmis101 for the curation and support.
Thank you very much for explaining.
Interesting plants.
Do have a blessed week dear.
This plant is extremely cool. I love how it looks almost like gems. You are so amazing with your plants. I realize I better water my plants. before they start drooping.😊
It does, doesn't it? I used to think they look like colored ice cubes.
Hmm get yourself some succulents they are very forgiving and need to be watered less frequently lol
Take care and have a great day @carolynstahl
