Some of the reggae faces and singers that should be on all of your playlist. The music is live and well in Jamaica despite the virus. Even though we have covid19 restrictions illegal and underground parties. Recently though authorities started to move in on them and even arresting some people. When it come to music reggae/dancehall Jamaica is music and unstoppable. So every year numerous new artist come to the stage.
Mi Yard the 24hr Restaurant and Music Bar, the wonderful yard on the One Love Drive West End Negril and Jamaica in a Nutshell has become a dead spot. After 8pm at night the town including Mi Yard becomes a goose town. The tourism industry for me is on life support. When will this patience bubble again? The answer only time will tell.
While many countries of this World are seeing there numbers of COVID19 going South ours here in Jamaica are going North and bigly (that is a word from former president Donald Trump). In the early stage of the pandemic 5 countries base on our quick response in keep the numbers low. One year after and we are in the top 5 again but for the opposite reason. We recently received some vaccine from India and the COVA World Health Organization Facility. Our vaccination program has started and the government is working eagerly to get the population vaccinated so we can get back our tourism sector on track. We are kinda late with the vaccine program as supply and or ordering was a problem securing primarily because the rich countries were buying it up.
What are my response, A try sell rooms and cottages at discounted price.

I am also trying to access some government Covid19 small business support. The government is throwing some support toward the digitalization of small businesses. The Bank of Jamaica said they are working on a digital currency that should be ready by year end or early next year.

The above gave a list of benefits the BOJ think the digital currency will bring but it noted that they did not go the blockchain root. Seem like the bank is saying it is easy to implement a central bank digital currency at this time than a blockchain. They reasoned that it would seamlessly integrate with the legacy system that now exist. However I think it is a step in the right direction. While we are World beater in many thinks we seems to log behind on others. One such is in Fintech and banking overall. We making slow progress in Fintech and our macro economic management. We are getting closer to ten years of good economic management. However we still don't have a globally rated bank. I think because money generally don't feel safe in emerging economy like ours and our long history of poor macro economic management...

Well this "...The government is throwing some support toward the digitalization of small businesses. The Bank of Jamaica said they are working on a digital currency that should be ready by year end or early next year...." sounds like news that the government is going in the right direction and looking to the future.
Here in Suriname crypto currency is not yet on the radar of government officials and even if it is they aren't looking into possibilities yet if you ask me.
Nice music by the way.
