Bless Up ReggaeJahmerz, @dmilliz deh again. Blessed Sunday. Just came back from the park and about to schedule this post.

WHAT'S JAHMIN' THIS WEEK?

This week in the JAHMIN Session we have a Dancehall Battle from the streets of Venezuela, Christian Rap from the content of Russia, a cover song from the heart of Nigeria, a family outing in the greenery of Suriname and a reminder to keep a positive vibration. IRIE content keeps on Jahmin!

You don't need to be in the Caribbean or from it to post in our community. From Ital food to reggae music, Caribbean news and much more is welcome in our community. To learn more about our tags/cultural initiatives, see the following posts: Dashout Sunday, APART, and RJNAS.

Every week I'll select a 10% beneficiary for this post, and this week I chose @mundomanaure for brining the Dancehall to the blockchain with clips he took at a dance battle. Keep on representing the culture.

Respect Amongst Community Members

Last week there was heated exchange of words between community members of Reggaejahm. Though it was not directly in the Reggaejahm community, it is between two of our respected members.

I just want to remind everyone to be respectful of people's choices and empathetic towards their situation and what they are going through. "Keep it Irie" is what we should strive for. Healthy discussions and reasonings is what we want but in a mutually respectful manner is how it should be done.

GIVE THANKS FOR READING

Just a reminder to keep the vibes positive and have respect for each other. These are difficult times and we must stay united. Selection from @rarej's post.

Question Of the Week

What is the best way to have a discussion about a delicate topic?

Good to remind everyone this community is about positive vibes. For many of us in developing countries and/or tough circumstances, Hive is a full-time job, and we approach it with that level of respect and professionalism.

This wasn't the first encounter I'd had with with the person I assume we are not naming, and this is why I chose to mute the person from the community's rules they violated. I would say the situation is far more than a difference of opinion when harassment and insulting name-calling is used. As someone whose put in many hours trying to improve this community, it's my opinion that this Hiver is not a good look for this community, and seemingly incapable of apologizing for inappropriate behavior.

I fully understand your situation and how you treat HIVE as well as many others on here. But when it comes to professionalism you and your family are top notch. And you definitely helped to improve this community in many ways.

I also understand that while @luca1777 ( we all know the person ) may come off crass and aggressive with his opinions/advice, has good intentions based on his beliefs. But it really comes off wrong a lot the times. That I will agree with. I too have had my encounters with him in the past and we work through it and form a tighter bond. But I understand sometimes things go too far.

Bwoi I just wish unu coulda work it out cause I respect both of unu to the max.

Give thanks for your kind words brother, we are a Hivin' family.

I'm all good with differences of opinion, and I'm even okay with someone distastefully trying to cram their opinions down my throat, the majority of my friends are that way. However, I draw the line at name-calling, harassment, and lame attempts at cyber-bullying.

I don't know what there is to work out with this JAHMer, it was very much a one-way problem. As this kind of behavior has already happened a few times, although not nearly as foul as the recent spat, this was my reason for muting Luca. It is still my belief that JAHMers demonstrating this kind of hostile behavior and lack of respect have no place in a community founded on Irie vibes.

Bless up my friend, more time.

Couldn't have said it better. We don't have to be on the same page about a certain topic, but we should at least respect each other and our stance on something.

Positive vibes into the new week Jahmers! 👍

I didn't know if you and Joel were aware of the garbage fire on my post. The person tagged the two of you as if to lure you into that mess. It's definitely not a good look for any Hive community to tolerate that kind of behavior, but this wasn't my first encounter with disrespect from this JAHMer.

I take it personal when someone who has never lived in my shoes tries to tell me how much easier my life is than I make it seem, and continues with name-calling and harassment.

Respect ✊🏿 just need more peace and love in these times, though we may have misunderstandings and different opinions we are passionate about, we gotta keep it positive. We need to leave them vibes on web 2. 😆

I'm glad you addressed the situation and I fully agree, the message is on point, respect for each other and "Keep it Irie". 👊

I didn't know who and who was not aware of the hot mess. This disrectful un-Irie behavior actually happened in the ASEAN Hive Community, but it was a member of this community (since we aren't naming anyone I guess). This person has been muted from that community as it was a violation of community rules.

I did mute the person from this community as well because I feel this place is should be based upon Irie vibes and friendliness. However, our fearless leader @dmilliz is ultimately responsible for community decisions, and I respect his decision to reverse this decision.

However, I personally would rather not be a member of a community in which this kind of narcissistic personality is welcome. I have received no apology, and I honestly don't think this person is capable of humbling theirself to that extent.

Yeah man just want a peaceful zone on this digital world where we just keep it irie. Good to share opinions but we gotta do it with respect and manners!
Blessings!
