Arab coffee ☕😍

Hello Hivieans🖐️😉I would like to tell you a little about Arabic coffee☕☕🤩😊

  • Serving Arab coffee is an important aspect of hospitality in Arab societies which is seen as a symbol of generosity.

  • Traditionally, coffee is brewed in front of the guests. The preparation ritual begins with the selection of the beans, which are placed in a flat iron pan and lightly roasted over a wood fire.

  • The roasted beans are then placed in a copper mortar and crushed with a copper pestle. The ground coffee is placed in a large copper coffee maker, poured water into it and put it on the stove. Once the coffee is ready, it is poured into a smaller coffeemaker and then served to guests in small cups.

  • The most important or oldest guest is served first. The guest's cup is only a quarter full, so it can be refilled multiple times. It is customary for each guest to drink at least one cup, but never more than three. It is prepared and appreciated by men and women from all walks of life, especially in the household.

  • The sheikhs and tribal chiefs who serve Arab coffee in their hangouts, as well as the elders of the Bedouin community, and owners of coffee businesses, are considered the primary holders.

  • The transmission of knowledge and traditions related to Arab coffee takes place in the family through observation and practice. Young people also accompany elders to the market to learn how to select the best grains.

Thank you @afef for this encouraging comment.

Hello @rafik75! What an interesting article on Arab Coffee. It's good to know that Arabians take their coffee brewing and drinking seriously. I love coffee too and it's nice that you serve this drink to welcome guests. The culture of serving the eldest guest is respectful.

Thanks for sharing this part of your culture with us.

Thank you for your generosity in giving me these badges🥰.

I am pleasantly surprised.

We live with a large Arab community in my country, but I did not know about the relevance and etiquette of serving coffee. I find it extremely interesting.

I lived for a while with an Arab family and the most they consumed was a lot of sweets, perhaps they did not drink coffee. There I learned to enjoy delicious Arab sweets made by Arabs and Venezuelans.

I would love to be present at the moment of being served coffee, to feel the aroma of freshly roasted coffee is something that fascinates me. I am a coffee lover.

Thank you for sharing with us this knowledge. Greetings.

Thank you very much😍😍 @creacioneslelys for your encouragement and I wish you success
