Splinterlands Battles Contest! Gold Card Giveaway! #11

Hello everyone and welcome to my contest! I decided to try something a little different this time and want to introduce a battle contest!

The idea is that I'd like to highlight a battle or two featuring some strange, exciting, or FRUSTRATING battles for your viewing pleasure!

If you missed it last week, the prizes for our 3 winners will be ALL Gold cards as a celebration for the 10th contest. We're back to our usual giveaway for this week!

How This Will Work

This community is great and very welcoming to newcomers. If you browse PeakD, you'll see just how much user generated content there is which ranges from basic how to play guides, to more advanced strategies from the top leaderboard players, to investment advice!

To do my part in giving back, I'm starting a giveaway!

The rules are simple:

1. Comment below with an interesting, strange, or hilarious battle (don't forget to include your in-game name)
2. Provide a short comment on what makes your battle unique or special
3. Upvote this post
4. Entries must be entered before the post pays out (7 days from when I post).
5. You may submit up to 3 entries but you can only win once.

That's it!

If I select your battle to be featured on my next post, I'll send you a prize! Runner-up prizes will also be given!

Congratulations @henruc! This week was tough choosing a winner but your battle ultimately won out because it was so close! It really came down to the wire and had me wondering how you pulled it off.

This was a Fog of War battle for the ages. With no sneak and no snipe, you're looking at some serious frontline damage.

Valnamor is Alric on steroids but henruc was able to counter him with a Thaddius Brood.

Doctor Blight CAN'T KEEP DOING THIS

This battle is too long to GIF unfortunately but take a look at this screenshot. Henruc just lost his Phantom which was debuffing his opponent's magic attacks with Silence. That leaves him with a Dhampir Stalker tanking with Lira and Doctor Blight left to attack.

Something I really enjoy about Splinterlands is the occasional odd combination of Rulesets and available Splinters. It really makes you and your opponent use some wacky lineups!

For having a 99%+ chance of winning this one ended up really close. Kinda cool/frustrating how Grund can miss twice as often. Djinn Oshannus isn't that much faster than Grund, is he? 3 of 11... that's roughly 70%, right???
