SPLINTERLANDS SOCIAL MEDIA CHALLENGE (A FLYING LESSON)

in THGaming6 days ago

So this week I decided to take a reflection tool on most of my previous battles before starting the new season, And I rewatched most of my battles which turned out to be quite interesting. You know what they say about taking a second look. After taking a second and sometimes third look into a lot of my previous battles, I noticed a couple of things of which I will be sharing some of them in this post. Some of the lucky wins I got came because I was able to unconsciously use some kind of tactics that resulted in my victory, but after understanding how it works, I will be using more of it in the future.

POSITIONING

The thing I have come to understand about positioning monsters is that most of the rule sets I’ve used required a certain formation, and even if both players get the formation right, there are things that usually varied like The kind of summoner, the level of the cards (Max levels usually works best), the speed positioning which gives monsters with higher speed advantage and is more dangerous when the monster with high speed as magic or ranged attacked with double strikes. In no rule set, the position that I have noticed that works most of the time giving the required speed is Melee attack in first and second positions with plenty of health then the remaining positions can be high speed monsters with ranged or magic attacks. But in all, health is always very crucial.

FLYING RULESET

The flying ruleset stikes with earthquakes on non flying monsters, this battle can be fought in two ways, one is using high speed magic attacks with plenty of health and defense mechanism so you can have a chance to finish off your opponent before the earthquake begins, but then this would also depend on how the added rulesets. Another way is to set flying monsters with the snare ability so they can cripple your opponents flying cards and make them vulnerable to the earthquake attack. But in all speed, health, and the attack type is what will matter.

BATTLE LINK

I played a similar game and I guess my opponent decided to make it easy for me by using more monsters with no flying abilities in a flying ruleset. The snare ability on one of my monsters was the reason I was able to finish the battle early. I say early because a lot of battles take longer. If you watched that battle you will discover the major reason I put the monster in the last position was to protect the monster in the fifth position with flying and snare ability. And despite the fact that I used more melee attacks, they could attack quickly from different positions.

Truth be told the splinterlands game is very unpredictable, but that’s just what makes it fun and if you think you will like to try out all the amazing experiences, feel free to join in here
