I haven't written about the Heroes of Holdem NFT game in the last 1 month. But now is the time, as Beta Season B ends today at 12:00 UTC and Season C1 starts immediately. Perfect time to join the game!
Season B lasted 45 days. In contrast, Season C will be split into installments, each lasting 10 days. So the newly joined will also have a realistic chance to fight for paid places immediately or within 1.5 weeks. Season C1 starts today.
Season B summary
I played actively in the first 1 week and the last 3 days, in the intervening 4-5 weeks I only opened the game occasionally, and that too just to follow the changes and developments.
Very positive changes have taken place in the last 45 days. For example: if a player is on 'Sit out' the whole time, the game kicks him out after 8-10 minutes. Thus, certain hero and minion combinations cannot be abused. The balancing of the various abilities and equipment is also progressing well. Based on the experience of the last 3 days, the number of purposely slow playing players has decreased to a great extent, hoping to use killer abilities with high enough blinds.
The Leaderboard standings a few minutes before the end of Season B:
The first 30 places will receive a prize. Unfortunately, @solymi just missed the paid places.
Fortunately, I managed to reach $50. This has been my goal for the past 3 days! After Season A, I asked for my prize in crypto, which was sent immediately (you have to contact the HoH team on Discord for the prizes), but now I want approx. 50% in-game items. Primarily hero, if this is not possible this time, then H$RO token. (Perhaps, I'll make an update about that.)
To me, tournaments seem much better for several reasons. Mainly, poker itself is better displayed in this format. Possible abuses are greatly reduced in the case of tournaments. (As in real poker, this is definitely a thing in the case of SNGs.) Against players who primarily focus on the NFT aspect of the game, I can be competitive even with the weaker hero&minion&equipments&abilities combination.
A good example. In the last 3 days I played the highest prize (700 H$RO tokens) NPC Horde tournament. There are usually 1500+ players and 500+ heroes, the first 30 places pay. I made it to ITM twice, yesterday I marched all the way to second place. Some pictures of this:
Unfortunately, I messed up the ending, but I still got 70 H$RO in 1 hour and 20 minutes, which I can only collect in that time with a lot of luck in SNGs. (Only 1 SNG can be played at a time. No multi-table.)
Since I love poker anyway, there is no question that I will continue to play the game on a regular basis. However, seeing the field can also be interesting for those coming from NFT games. The heroes, equipment, and abilities that a poker player will like to use and those that will be the favorites of crypto and NFT players are already being outlined.
So, once again: Season C1 starts today at 12:00 UTC It's completely free to participate and you can win crypto and/or in-game tokens and items!
Good luck to everyone!

Since I'm not a PhotoShop master (and I'm lazy to edit, create pictures 😀 ), I borrowed the first picture from their post.
