Greetings to everyone! In my previous posts, I wrote about three cities in Morocco: Agadir, Essouira and Marrakesh.
They all are great. But I still have a few interesting facts that I didn't mention in my story of travelling around this wonderful country, and I decided to combine them into one separate post.
Here is one interesting fact that will probably make you laugh. Only in Morocco there are argan trees, which goats like very much.
Goats climb to the top of these trees and eat the leaves. It looks extremely funny. When you go on a tourist bus, you can see a lot of argan trees around, and there are goats on all of them. Our guide said: ''let's get closer to the goats''.
A crowd of Russian tourists ran out of the bus and shouted: ''goats, goats!'' And we ran to look at them.
The goats were scared of so many people and began to fall from the trees. When all the goats fell, we had the opportunity to take pictures with them. There were not only adult goats, but also cute little goats that could be picked up. For example, this kid. I didn't even really understand how to hold it.
There are a lot of argan factories in Morocco where oil is made. This oil can be of two types: cosmetic and food, and it is the rarest oil on Earth, since, as I wrote above, argan trees are only in Morocco.
Working at an argan factory is hard work. It is necessary to peel the fruits of argan from the husk and suppress them in special containers. Each argan seed is broken with a stone., and the husk itself consists of several layers. At argan factories, women work almost under the constant gaze of tourists. It's probably not easy, although perhaps the workers are already used to it.
After a trip to the argan factory, it would be good to refresh yourself with a traditional Moroccan dish called couscous. Couscous is a cereal that is usually cooked with meat and vegetables. The dish is served on a large plate, from which all guests can put a little for themselves.
What else to do in Morocco if you have already traveled all over the country? It's worth looking at the ocean. Just come to the ocean and admire it for a long time, because the ocean is so different every day and in every place.
The ocean differs from the sea completely: it is another force and power- bigger and much, much stronger. It is not always possible to swim in it, but it is necessary to come and to pay tribute to it.
I am finishing my story about the wonderful country of Morocco, and next time we will go in a completely different direction. Which one? You will know this in my other post.
To be continued..
