Hellfire in the sky
This story happened to me quite recently. For some business I went to the side of the Ipatiev Monastery on the right bank of the Kostroma River. The road led across a large old bridge that connects the banks of the Kostroma River very close to the monastery.
When I was driving out of town, there was nothing remarkable on the bridge. The bridge was being repaired, and you could see workers in reflective vests doing something here and there throughout the entire bridge. It wasn't interesting at all.

When I came back, the day was already over. The sun was going down and the last rays of our star that day gave a warm orange light.
The coming night, on the contrary, filled the east with blue colors. I was driving and thinking about something of my own. Passing the bridge, all of a sudden, all my attention was attracted by the glitter of the flames on the bridge. These were workers using gas burners to lay the waterproofing.
It looked so amazing that after passing the bridge I found a parking spot and walked back to the bridge.
The color of the flame was the same as the color of the sunset. The approaching blue added chromatic contrast and drama to the scene.
But what struck me the most was the images of workers working with fire. They were some kind of ancient Atlanteans or devils who crawled out of the depths of the earth or night and kindled their hellish flame.
Or maybe these are magical creatures that kindle the sun? It's not for nothing that the color of fire and sun are the same in the photo.
In short, I was passionate about the work of road builders. And the workers looked at me and grinned.
This is how it happened, quite by accident, to be in the very center of an interesting event that happened before my eyes. Someone will say that there is nothing surprising and interesting in this, but I disagree.
It was cooler than watching a TV show or movie. Flame, sunset, night - it was amazing.

Wow, what a synchronistic scene of terrestrial and celestial flame! That must have been an even more amazing sight in person, though your photographs capture the beauty quite well..!
It was really great to see :) Thank you
