In 2017 I had the opportunity to visit Mendoza, an incredible city in Argentina, I was there for just over a month. It was a wonderful sight!
I arrived by land, from Santiago de Chile, and I could see the incredible Snails Pass, my God how many curves haha it seems endless! but certainly impressive ..All the scenery on the way across the Andes is spectacular! Mountains, meadows, all so beautiful!
From Santiago it is a relatively short trip, on average it takes 7 hours to get there. You just have to pray to the gods that there are not many people crossing the border so that it does not take so long to stamp passports. I was that lucky, and didn't spend more than 20 minutes on that stretch.
I can only say one thing about this city: it is beautiful! It is an oasis in the desert (literally) ... magnificent! Super well organized, quiet, safe, the streets are a pleasure to walk ... in fact I tried to walk as much as I could to know more ... and the city lends itself to this, because it is relatively small and you can easily walk wherever you want .Although its transport system is also great, and provides a quality service. They restored some old buses, and conditioned them to be "modern", since they do not handle cash, but you pay with a prepaid card.
Its architecture is quite European, and this makes sense because in its beginnings it received a significant number of immigrants, mainly Spanish and Italian.
Mendoza is a fairly planned city, due to its geographical conditions, given that most of the province was a desert, they busied themselves with treeing its streets to guarantee a better quality of life and cool off a bit on summer days. Practically all the streets are tree-lined, and with their respective ditches to ensure the watering of the plants.
I was delighted with this place, I had the impression of being like in a city trapped in time, it retains that relaxed atmosphere of the end of the last century, very eighties! It is a place with a fruitful cultural and artistic life, many museums, theaters, bars and restaurants that guarantee a phenomenal stay for tourists! In fact, tourism is one of its main economic activities together with wine production.
I really liked that it has a lot of green areas and places for recreation. It has a beautiful artificial park called Parque General San Martin, which is super cool! a lot of people go on weekends to have picnics and share with family and friends
My friends took me to see the Mendoza River! We spent a wonderful afternoon there .. away from the city, in contact with nature, although it was summer its waters were super cold, because it is a thaw river that is born in Aconcagua .. hahaha so I didn't bathe! XD But I did enjoy the tranquility of the place to the fullest.
Without a doubt, a place I would love to return to. Besides that its people are excessively friendly and of good vibes. Mendozans are very receptive to tourists and generally very good people. I enjoyed some incredible days there.
Unfortunately I did not have a good camera at the time, and I lost a lot of photos from that trip, I rescued only a few photos and of poor quality. Maybe that's why I want to go back (haha), to take new photos and enjoy a great experience again!

I've been there also a few years ago and I can understand why you want to go back, such a nice city. I remember that street with all the trees, I think a took almost the same picture :)
