When I worked and lived around London what did not make sense was someone working for the same company living in the sleepy valleys of Wales was on a similar salary package yet their monthly expenses would be under half what it was costing myself. If you are renting the yes it would be better off, but maybe a negative if you are buying a property due to smaller returns on your investment.

oh a very big part of what I am talking about it completely dependent on you either not having a property you are buying or if you do, being able to rent it out. I know plenty of people that have rented their place and the tenants are paying the mortgage for them. This is a double win because now you have future passive income too.

But like I said the above suggestion is only going to apply to very specific people.

Yes that make smore financial sense having property paid off in a higher value property area whilst you live cheaper elsewhere.
