Our First Air Trip Going To Clark International Airport

Hello, Hive Fam! A few days have passed since my last blog. I hope you don't miss out and support this new one.

Let me share with you our first air trip as we go on a short vacation in the Summer Capital of the Philippines, Baguio City. As mentioned in my previous blog, we were excited as we prepared the things needed for our vacation. We will be together with the co-teachers of my wife and their families, a teacher from IIS, and our former public schools district supervisor. We planned to leave our town at seven o'clock in the morning to go to Mactan-Cebu International Airport.

I asked our neighbor Elisha and her classmate Michael Joseph to stay at our house while we were away. They will take charge of our small poultry farm, the dogs and love birds, and maintain the cleanliness of our house. I made sure that they understood the process of feeding the chickens and the water levels in the tanks. I'll just ask for an update from them once we arrive at our destination.

A van was rented to give us a ride to the airport. We were the last passengers who got fetched. As we proceeded to our destination, we talked about some things of the 5th district of Cebu, which is my beloved hometown belonged. I shared about how I lived in Danao City and the different political leaders within the district. I never had the chance to take a nap because I was holding Jehoia on my lap while she was sleeping.

When we arrived at the airport, Ma'am Judith of IIS, her daughter, and Ma'am Delia, our former PSDS, were already there. We arrived at almost eleven in the morning. Our flight was at one o'clock in the afternoon. We took the chance to have our lunch in the airport lobby before we got inside. We were also waiting for the others to come. When they arrived, we decided to get inside for the check-in of the luggage.

We then proceed to Gate 3 and wait there. But suddenly, a change of gate happened. We were transferred to gate 9. We waited for 30 minutes, and when the gate was open, we entered the plane. Our kids were so excited. And I was amazed by them that they talked a lot about riding a plane. Maybe because they watched it on YouTube. We located our seat, which is 22 ABC. My son chose the window seat. I was supposed to sit there because I wanted to see the view outside the window. But I decided to give him the chance since he's so observant and can learn a lot about things around him.

Of course, the cabin crew reminded everyone about what to do inside the plane. They demonstrated the life-saving tips and made sure that everyone was wearing a seatbelt. I talk to our kids about how they feel. whether they're scared or not. I also reminded them to remain seated to avoid dizziness. They obeyed, and Jehoia just hugged me tight.

The plane had its takeoff, and I can see from the faces of our kids that they are so happy to be experiencing their first air trip with Cebu Pacific. They enjoyed watching the clouds, and they explored the things in front of them. My wife, on the other side, was also amused by the actions of our kids. We really had no idea they knew a lot about riding a plane. I told Ioseph to take photos from the window. At least they will have something to recall when they grow up.

We traveled an hour to Clark International Airport. Ioseph shared with us what he was seeing outside. He said he saw buses and motorcycles. He also mentioned that there are lots of beautiful houses and buildings on the land. When the plane was about to land, I reminded the kids to stay calm. The excitement they had on their faces made me happy on that day. At least we can be able to let them enjoy themselves despite the struggles and problems we have.

We got out of the plane and entered the vicinity of Clark International Airport. I appreciated the structure of the airport. It's really nice, but I observed that there are few people in there. We stopped for a while on the ground floor. Others went to the restrooms, while others were waiting for their luggage. We also took the chance to take a group photo.

We went outside and waited for our booked travel tour van. We booked three vans in order for us to have a spacious and comfortable trip. Also, it's very dangerous to load several passengers going up to the city of Baguio. As we waited for our ride, we took our group photo in front of the airport.

We were all excited for this vacation. And for sure, it would be full of fun and laughter. May this travel destress us and give us a lot of memories to cherish with our kids.

Get updated on this short vacation on my next blog. Thank you for the support.

Photos are all mine unless stated otherwise.
