Hi there. In this China travel post blog I talk about the Meiyu Hotel in Shenzhen, China. After arriving in Shenzhen in the evening from the morning departure in Xi'An we head to our hotel. Shenzhen North Metro station was right at the Railway station so navigation was easy.

Meiyu Hotel In Mercure Hotel In Shenzhen
Meiyu Hotel was located north of Hongling North metro station. I have a Trip.com screenshoot of Hongling North and the Hotel location.
Getting to the hotel was slightly tricky at night. We eventually found out that Meiyu Hotel was inside the Mercure Hotel there. Technically the hotel we got was a Mercure hotel.
We did two rooms for 5 nights. It came to a total of 737.80 CAD at the time after discount. For one night both rooms cost 147.56 CAD. For one room it came to around 74 CAD per room per night. Very affordable. Check out the pictures below to see the value of this hotel.
Room Pictures
The hotel room has a good amount of space. There is a double bed, couch, large TV, mirror with sink, dishwasher, fridge, and a tray with a teacup. The toilet and shower room is on the other side of the sink.
The toilet is a western style toilet. Actually it is a smart toilet. On the side opposite to the shower room there is a remote control with button commands. There is a bidet function on the smart toilet where you can spray water for cleaning.
The shower room is nicely presented. I think the 3 bottles were Shampoo, Conditioner and Body Lotion. One thing to be mindful of is the rectangular block on the floor. Watch your step!

I also took a few pictures of outside the hotel from the windows. This hotel is near a major highway intersection.
The hotel do have two delivery robots. They are usually on the lobby floor. These robots are instructed to go up the rooms for delivery purposes. Instead of having the delievery people to the rooms the robots deliver any food, coffee, orders into the room. I took a picture of one of the Mercure hotel robots.
Closing Notes
Finding out that this Meiyu Hotel is inside a Mercure hotel is a nice surprise. The confusion was a little annoying at first but the amazing rooms made our Shenzhen stay well worth it. For under 80 CAD per room per night for two people is pretty crazy. Hotel prices like that do not exist in the Toronto area. (Toronto real estate is messed up and unaffordable for a lot of people.) You can get some nice hotel rooms at low prices if you are travelling from North America (or even Europe). The currency exchange is favourable for westerners.
The location of the Hotel is close to Hongling North subway station. It is about a 8 minute walk from this hotel. Hongling North is kind of near Shenzhen North Railway Station and the Huaqiangbei area for electronics. One thing I did not like is that on the sidewalks there are a lot of e-bikes and scooters with the pedestrians. Many of them are in a rush doing deliveries so you have to be careful. Watch your back too!.
Overall I really liked this hotel. A 9.5 out of 10 for me. So far from this trip I really like Ji Hotel and Mercure hotels. They have nice rooms for low prices (for Westerners).

Mercure hotel are a brand appreciated in the world this hotel room it's really complete and fancy ❤️❤️
At the time of travel I did not know about the Mercure brand. The Toronto area does not really have Mercure hotels. Now I know.
The hotel room is really nice with a great price.

The bed was nice. I do miss it along with the other features in that room. One of my favourite hotel rooms I visited in China.
I should save if will go to China one day. Because I heard that there are not so many really nice hotels in China
