The Giza Pyramid is one of the most important tourist destinations in the world. Tourists who wear sandals to tourists with very fancy makeup come in droves here. If you see the many tourists who come, I would never think to make this place the purpose of my trip. But it's too bad for me to miss something very ancient and is one of the seven wonders of the ancient world. There is always something interesting for me for something very ancient and exotic.

Giza Pyramid Complex

According to historians, this pyramid complex was built around 2500 BC during the royal age of the fourth dynasty of Ancient Egypt. Like the function of the pyramid in general, the Giza pyramid complex is an ancient grave complex. Three large pyramids are designated for the graves of three pharaohs of the fourth dynasty of Egypt, namely Khufu, khafre, and Mankhaure. Whereas three small pyramids are intended for Pharaoh Kufu's daughter, wife and mother. Around the six pyramids of Giza there are many ancient graves intended for royal families, aristocrats, and the elite at that time.

The easiest way to get to the pyramid complex is to use a tour because the tourist bus will immediately stop at the entrance. Another story with me who chose to come here using a stray. The taxi driver from the beginning had intended to work me by taking me to a camelman who intended to "scold me" 500 EP for a "historic" trip on the camel to the Giza pyramid for 2 hours .... :-p. When I disagreed with the intentions of the taxi driver and camel driver, I was just dropped off in the middle of slums around the pyramid complex. Dozens of fraudsters and brokers immediately surrounded me offering various kinds of "services". Unfortunately again, I had to walk through the halls of the village before managed to find my way to the pyramid complex. A policeman was "waiting for me" as soon as I was on the highway. Remove from the mouth of the lion into the mouth of a crocodile. The police from the beginning did not intend to help me but tried to "scold me". Fortunately, the entrance to the pyramid complex is not far away, so the police stopped their intention to "scold me" for fear of being caught by the commander who was standing guard at the gate of the pyramid complex.

One of the most severe forms of "logging" in the pyramid complex is a matter of food and drink. Some friends at my lodge advised me to bring food and drinks from outside before entering the pyramid complex. The reason is the price of food and drinks in the Giza pyramid complex can reach 4 times the normal price. To outsmart my body during exploring the pyramid area on foot, I brought three chocolate bar bars and also two bottles of mineral water. It feels a loss if "hogged" about food and drinks.

Fierce Camel Camper .....

Camels and horses also do not want to be left behind to earn dollars from tourists. Here, photographing a horse or camel driver must pay. If they are not given money, they will certainly be torturing and forcing people who take pictures to delete their photos. Even though they themselves asked to be photographed. Not only camel photography pay, just hold camel pay .... :-p. Nothing is free in this place. Even if they want to ride camels or horses, they must be careful because even though they have agreed at the beginning, they often ask for more.

Trash in Giza

Perhaps the most severe effect of commercializing historic sites like the Giza pyramid is rubbish. Still, there are people who don't care about ancient sites like the Giza pyramid that has become a world heritage. Garbage littered here and there. Unfortunately, historical places like this must be filled with rubbish from irresponsible people. A consequence of an ancient site that is a very touristy place.
