My trip to Chunda Valley — a slice of heaven on Earth

in TravelFeed4 years ago
Chunda Valley is adjacent to Sakardu Valley towards the western side. Sakardu Valley is located on the northern areas of Pakistan. The region is called Gilgit-Baltistan. Chunda valley is often dubbed as a slice of heaven on Earth by many visitors who travelled from far and wide places to explore the beauty of place.

During our stay at Sakardu city last year, I and my friends decided the spend an entire day to explore the valley and have fun. We onbaorded a jeep nad started towards the Highlands of Chunda. The road leading to the the valley is not properly built and it looks pretty dangerous for people who visit the area from the plains. But for the seasoned drivers who drive often its just a normal raod.

It was a sunny day and spring season was displaying its beauty. The valley looked magnificent with apricot and apple tree flowers. Towering mountains were still half covered with snow. The air was cool and sun has a bit of warmth to make you feel beeter. The soil of valley is rich and can sustain life easily. The people living there in village look healthy and happy. Although their lives are not as easier as the residents of cities but they do have their own way of happiness.

You can spot fields and know easily that soil is rich to support organic life

Time passed so quickly that we didn't realize that it's evening already. Moon is shining over the Sakardu Valley and we had little time to reach back in time. But somehow we managed to reach our place by walking half of our way in the moonlight. It was one of the best experiences of my life.

Have a great Sunday!

Wow that is truly beautiful. I've spent time in the mountains in India and Nepal but yet to make it to Pakistan. What time of year would you recommend to travel there? Thank for the wonderful post and pics.

Glad to hear about your passion for travelling. The best time to visit Pakistan is June and July. Hunza Valley and Deosai Plains are a must. You can search about these places on Web before planning your trip.

I am sure you will be amazed by the beauty of Hunza Valley. 😊

Thanks. It looks really amazing :)
