Hello friends!

How was your day? I hope it's going well for you. Please take care of yourself, surround yourself with your loved ones, and remain healthy and happy as always. While reading this blog, make sure to sit back, relax, and enjoy a drink or meal as I tell you about my 5-day experience in Luzon, starting off with the "Detroit of the Philippines", Laguna.

A legendary snap taken by my cousin because the place we stayed at had a full pool equipment. I have a minimal understanding on how to play it, so I ended up just playing it casually- then we went into a full-on battle and bet on the winner.

These are only some of the snaps I managed to find in my archives just before my phone broke (I apologize for the low quality). The place consisted of 3 floors. The main floor had a large and mini gate to secure from the outside, and a large garage. Inside, there is a mini living room connecting to a large dining table and kitchen. On the side of the kitchen, there is a room leading towards the master bedroom where my grandparents stayed. Straight ahead was a semi-indoor pool (I don't know how to explain it but technically, it's an open house. The house has a front door but doesn't have a back door. The only wall closing in our space was the pool wall on the edge. .There is also a karaoke booth and an extra space at the left wall carved open which is also a route that leads to the pool.

Second floor consisted of 3 large rooms with fancy chandeliers, 15 bunk beds, and two connected bathrooms from the side. The rooms were very cool and chilly, not to mention, the beds were so comfortable, I could rot in it. My cousins and I's room were separated from the elders (our parents, aunts, and uncles).

Third floor had a large pool waiting to be used, a fancy looking empty bar counter, some exquisite benches, and a balcony the overlooked the view of the pool on the main floor. It was the place where my cousins and I spent the most of our time by playing pool and uno, etc.

Saying these things is just a plain understatement of what it actually looked like in real life because this is the place where most high-class people live nowadays. We were only staying there for 2 days for vacation but we still had to pay a large sum for an overnight stay.

Here are a few clips of our trip from Manila to Laguna. Our whole clan rode 4 cars that were tailed to each other and in estimate, 4 hours of travelling. It was exhausting, but stopping by to eat and chat made our time worthwhile. I had always been a province girl, but the city fascinated me so much considering I'd only get there once in a blue moon. Although I wouldn't want to live in the city since I like to be in tranquil and solitude spaces, I definitely look up to going for adventures there and places to entertain myself with.

I included these 4 snaps before and after our flight (just for a quick preview). It had been 2 years since we last went to Luzon due to Covid and financial issues, but we finally made it!

Here is a quick snap of me in Manila getting a haircut before we went to Laguna the day after. I was with my grandparent's caretaker (whom we already consider as family), sister, and female cousins who were also siblings. We passed by a night market to buy some sandals and pick up a few errands, then before the sky turned pitch black, we hit the road with my cousin's mini electric bicycle and drove back to my grandparents place. It was such a thrilling ride because the vehicle was so open and also oddly cute. I'd definitely want to do this again.

A preview of our game night as cousins with our other cousin who was in abroad.

This was the grand surprise my relatives had prepared for my grandad and his eldest son (my uncle), who were about to hit their milestone. This occurred during our last night in Laguna and we had a very fun time doing all sorts of stuff like playing games, performing, and most of all, receiving various gifts and celebrating with them. I can't imagine the last time I'd had that much fun in so long.
