My trip to the southern India.
It was the diwali festival in here and we had our vacation. Me and my family and a few friends decided to have a trip in our country, after a lot of discussion we concluded to have a tour to the southern Indian states. By the end of October we started our trip from Mumbai
From there we reached Benguluru, the capital of Karnataka. There were visited the Mysore palace and a few more famous places. We were astonished by the beauty and brilliant architecture of palace and the amazing and captivating interior design of the structure stopped us from taking our eyes off of it.
The places we visited first:
•Tipu Death Place
•Sri Ranganathaswamy temple
•The City Zoo
•Mysore Palace
•Chamundi Hill
•Philomena Church
(Mysore palace)
The landscapes and the monuments captured our eyes and paused our feet. Sri Ranganatha Swami temple and Chamundi Hills with its science questioning architectural design, its ancient structures made us question about our progress in contraction, The city zoo with endemic species of flora and fauna in the Western ghats reminded us of how far we have drifted frol our mother nature, we got to see animals that we only heard or saw on papers or internet, but the real ones are truly beautiful. The Philomena Church a place where you are surrounded with all the positive energy and life encouraging vibes, the feeling of being close to God just made us wish the time to stay still.
Our first destination was like an awakening tour for everyone of us.
Our second destination was Otty
The places we visited there:
•Mudumalai National Park
•Shooting Point
•Pine Tree Forest
•Rose Garden
•Doddabetta
•Botanical Garden
•Tea Plantation
The National park was a really great and earthy place for all of us, there we got to experience the depths of Indian and Asian wildlife and backwaters. Mudumalai National Park is one of the tiger reserves of India were you can find the tigers in their natural habitat. Not only tigers but elephant, guar, kingfisher, leopards and over 55 species of mammals, 227 of birds and 21 species of amphibians and 34 of reptiles. This place is blessed with its absolute vast biodiversity and ecosystem.
Visiting the pine tree forest was like visit some other country, it was a great experience for us to be there. But it was like a maze, if we didn't had a guide, we would be lost.
The rose garden and the botanical garden was a place of peace. Surrounded by fragrant nectar giving flowers, we all were feeling light and stressfree. The birds chirping and the bees buzzing, the flowers just awakened our inner child and also did it give a push to our way of appreciation towards things that people do for us.
The Doddabetta had a view point that every photographer or a naturalist would adore. With its foggy weather and fresh air, the climd was worth. The tea plantation farms gave us an opportunity to be a farmer and plant our own tea plants, we also got pure fresh tea and coffee from the native farmers as a token of love as a gift.
This stage taught us to be close to earth, when you reach heights in your life, you should never have an attitude or ego, because someday everyone is gonna die and gonna get mixed with the soil.
The third destination was Munnar.
A breathe taking town in the hills of Kerala, is surrounded by rolling hills dotted with tea plantations. Eravikalum national park, a home for endangered mountain goat Nilgiri tahr. The Anamundi peak and Lakkam waterfall amazed us with its beautiful and ethereal landscape that we just wanted to make our home there, it has so many different types of flowers, it was hard to find a perfect one because each seems perfect! It was evening and we went to the Kathakali traditional dance show, it showed us how diverse the Indian culture is from food to dance to language to clothing but even with all this diversities, Indians are one! The dancers had so trained face muscles and they made us experience feelings that we haven't lately. The way the recited the story of urban legends and gods with their dance moves just made us question how great and surprising is a art form dance is. Sadly we had cover such a great place in just one day sp we had to be quick but next time we must give each place longer time for exploration.
Than we visited Alleppey. Where we got the privilege to experience life in a boat house in the backwaters of Kerala.
Fourth location was Trivandrum, here we visited Padmanabha swamy temple and Attukal bagavathi temple
A temple dedicated to the supreme personality of Godhead Visnu. It holds a very great religious significance in the Sanatan Dharma and is one of the most holiest shrines of Lord Visnu. Where as the Attukal Bhagvathi temple where the goddess of power is located there. The delicate carvings in the temple walls and pillars were very very astonishing for our eyes to watch, it made us question how intelligent and talented our ancestors were that they cared such enormous sculptures out of a single piece of rock!!
We spend our evening and night at the Kovalam beach, with cold oceany breeze and touching grass made our lives very appropriatable.
The fifth destination was Kanyakumari,
A heavenly paradise of the south India.
There we visited
• Poovar back water boating
• Suchindrum temple
• Thiruvalluvar rock
• Swamy vivekanand rock memorial
• Triveni Sangam
• Tirupati Balaji
The temple was very peaceful, the ideal of the 3 deities of Indian religion; Bharma, Visnu and Shiva was placed there.
The Thiruvalluvar rock is a place where a 41m tall statue of a Tamil poet Valluvar is placed. A very strong pioneer of the Tamil language and it's folks. Triveni Sangam, such a beautiful name, it's a place where three holy rivers of India; the Ganga, the Yamuna and the Saraswati meets. It's said that water carries everything, so it is believed that to bath in such a holy water, ones sins are carried away and gets free from the cycle of rebirth. Tirupati Balaji, holy temple of the worshippers of lord Visnu, it's said that the temple holds unsolved and hidden mysteries of the Sanatan Dharma. It is a place where one could find peace even though they are surrounded by people. It is a place where you feel the presence of pure positive energy. We thoroughly enjoyed and learned about the culture and the religion. This helped us regain our beliefs in our society and gave us encouragement to give life a new start.
Sixth place was Rameshwaram.
Here we visited:
• Bhagavathi Amman temple
• Pamban bridge
• Agni Theertham
• Ramanathaswamy temple
• Ramar Patham (Gandhamadhana Parvatham)
• Ramatheertham
• Panchmukhi hanuman
• Lakshmana heertham
• Kodandaram temple
• Danushkodi
Each place we visited in this province was absolutely mind-blowing and pretty mesmerizing, it's beauty and architecture and the infrastructure captivated our minds. We were left amazed. The sculptures and idols, the roads the woods, it's flora and fauna was like a realisation to us how vast is mother earth.
From there, we reached out seventh location; Madurai.
• Narasinga perumal temple
• Alagar lord Vishnu temple
• Palamudircholai lord Karthik temple
• Gandhi museum
• Thirumalai nayakar palace
• Meenakshi temple
Madurai came with a very spiritual and religious vibes. This place is full of holy locations which makes you feel you are surrounded by positive and supremely connection to the almighty. Than we got back to our home. This trip was like an awakening for me and my family, this helped us to relax our stormy mind and to feel confident for what we are and to be grateful for even the smallest thing. This trip taught us how vivid and vast the Indian culture is, there is always something more to be explored in here. The history is not only carved in the stones but now it's in our hearts too, we experienced purity and heart warming scenes of the nature, the flowers, animals, the people, the food! Everything has its own way of being expressed and this helped us to know everyone is unique in their own ways and everyone should be appreciated for being what they are. It felt like the journey was enchanted, We enjoyed each and every moment of the Southern India in its own traditional wear. I hope this post helps you to feel better and maybe this encourages you to take steps that you hesitate to, if the results are positive, just do it!
The almighty is always with you.
