Pomalu už končila platnost kuponu ze Slevomatu do Valtického podzemí. V pátek jsem se rozhodl nenechat jej propadnout a po práci se vydal na krátkou exkurzi po labyrintu valtických vinných sklepů.
I had a voucher for a visit of "Valtické podzemí" - the labyrinth of wine-cellars about 900 metres long. The expiry date was almost coming, so I set out for the trip right after work on Friday.
Součástí byl i welcome drink a naštěstí i mapa. Uvědomoval jsem si množství práce, které stálo jednak za vybudováním komplexu., ale i jeho naplněním tisíci lahvemi vín.
At the cash desk I was welcomed with a glass of wine and a map of the cellars. I hardly can imagine the amount of work for building this underground labyrinth and then filling it with thousands of bottles.
Ve sprašovém podloží vytvořili lokální umělci unikátní sbírku plastik.
EN: Local artists made several reliefs in the walls of the cellar.
I also got tokens, which is possible to exchange for a wine degustation.
EN: The town Valtice belongs among most visited sites of Southern Moravia and its underground labyrinth should'nt be missing in the must see list.
