Ever heard of the phrase "fog of war"? It's those black areas on maps in games like Age of Empires or Warcraft that conceals locations that the player hasn't discovered yet.
This journey is much like that.
Behind our home are mountains I haven't yet explored myself. Driving around the base of those mountains in my motorcycle might sometimes feel like I'm living on the edge, but I haven't mustered the courage to explore even further. I always feared that those remote towns, or mountain barangays as we call them, might be too far.
I always feared my ride getting broken far from civilization. Always feared the snakes (goodness, King Cobra!) or even the tales of mystical creatures living in the ancient trees.
But damn, the call of adventure was too strong.
"Curiosity killed the cat"
...was a phrase repeatedly whispered by an inner voice, as we drove around dried mud, slipped the motorcycle chain, stopped to pee behind the bushes...
Dang, it was worth it. Because when we got there, I realized how close we were to Toledo City, divided only by rough terrains and mountains. That was mind-blowing to me.
This mountain behind our home, seemingly solemn and mysterious, is home to interesting villages and a witness to the beautiful overlooking view of South Cebu.
The natural beauty is so amazing, ❤️
It definitely is, thank you! 😍
Some amazing landscape you have captured. To me, I would absolutely have a "hay day" seeing this first hand :)
What the, you are surrounded with beautiful and natural things, exploring it is surely worth it even though you may encounter some deadly wiggly things. The view on top is seriously stunning. A perfect picnic spot a a perfect getaway place where you can unwind and relax ✨❤️❤️.
