Midnight "Cafe on Wheels" at Minglanilla

in TravelFeedlast month

After a night at Harrison Park, we decided to stop by at Tunghaan Heights (or Gullas Drive) on our way home. It was already midnight and since we didn't grab drinks at Harrison, we decided to grab some fizz while enjoying the midnight view.

When we got there, we were welcomed by the "car cafe" on our usual spot. This is not the first time enjoying their drinks, but they haven't been around since I got one of their mini donuts late last year.

This cafe has a simple set up, with their bar pretty much laid out at the back of their car. It wasn't technically the "trunk" but you know that tiny compartment at the back?

They set up their folding hairs right beside the car, overlooking the city view. It's a sight to behold, and the perfect chill spot when you're in a shoestring budget but still want to enjoy the smell of coffee brewing in the percolator.

For nocturnal beings like me, this is a piece of heaven. Just the view, a soda or two (I only had a couple of sips from Harry's) and nobody to judge your late night ruminations. Most importantly, it's a safe spot (police cars do check on here from time to time because alcohol is not allowed on the sidewalks) and you'd be surprised how many people are still up in the wee hours in this spot!
