I always tell Guitar that he's a king. Even though he's the smallest dog, he has confidence and bites anyone who messes with him so he has the respect of the bigger guys.
Things are slowly getting back to normal here. A lot of people have been stuck since there are no longer any flights, but the cops were cool and didn't charge anyone with overstay fees. I thought snails were slow until I tried to take a picture of one up close. It took about ten tries to snap this guy clearly.
Gigi was afraid of her own shadow when she came to us last month, but she's holding her tail up high and playing with the big dogs now.
She even enjoys having baths without a struggle.
She didn't appreciate her hat or favorite toy being taped to her at all. We used cheap Chinese tape, not 3M brand, so it didn't pull her hair out when we removed it.
I didn't see my friends doing backflips off the bridge on this walk, but it was still a nice day for travel photography.
After cutting up and blending mangos, we've been letting these cook in the sun. It should take about three days to become solid.
It's interesting how fast Mother Nature takes back her territory once the humans are gone. Imagine what a year or more would do.
It seems the wind only blows when I'm getting flower close-up shots confirming my whole this is all just a simulation feeling.
When I first came here, I was so happy to see the jungle with all its different green plantlife, but was a bit disappointed to see brown rivers. It was a problem for the newly formed Navy SEALs in Vietnam when they couldn't see anything underwater back in the Vietnam War.
This seems like an odd sign until you see how they used unexploded bombs from the war to make something positive.
They like to show the year buildings were built here. Luang Prabang is one of the few towns on Earth were you can see things just as there were up to 200 years ago. I'd love to take a time machine here and go back 15,000 years to see how people lived then. I have a strong suspicion it would be quite similar minus the cars and smart phones. I've never believed in Bigfoot, aliens, or conspiracy theories, but I do believe there was once a great global civilization before the great flood or the Younger Dryas event and they definitely would have been visiting this wonderful place.
This building looks pretty modern for something from 1970. Notice the peace sign windows. Maybe it got hit with one of those peace bombs.
