What’s up, Hivers, and to all nature lovers! For today’s content, I’m going to share with you one of my nature adventures here in Cebu.
MIDDLE EARTH MOUNTAIN RESORT AND MANGITNGIT FALLS
Middle Earth Mountain Resort and Mangitngit Falls is a hidden gem located in the mountains of Carmen, in the northern part of Cebu. As you can see in the pictures, the place is surrounded with trees and captivating landscapes, breathtaking water falls, and a serene atmosphere perfect for unwinding, doing outdoor activities, and also spending time with families and friends.
It has three huge swimming pools that are all accessible. The pools contain cold spring water, which is perfect to enjoy swimming, especially during the summer season. If you are also fond of diving, they also have two diving boards there, and they also have a high slide to make your experience more enjoyable. There is also a grilling station near the kiddie pool where you can grill fish and meat. You will not also worry about where to park your car because they have a huge parking space near the entrance. But I would suggest if you visit this place and want spend more intimate time with your family, you must visit during the weekdays because there are lots of tourists during the weekends.

IS MANGITNGIT FALLS ACCESSIBLE?
Before we arrived in the place, we were so excited because we thought that we could swim on the falls because we preferred spring falls over pools, but unfortunately, the caretaker told us that it has been closed to public use ever since there was a landslide incident that happened way back in 2007, which caused the deaths of two tourists. And after that incident, no one has been allowed to experience the cold water in Mangitngit Falls.
However, you can still enjoy its majestic view because it is allowed to go near the falls to take pictures, only that you are not allowed to enjoy its cold spring.
I can say that taking a nature break can indeed refresh our minds and can take away all the unwanted stress that we get from the whole week of hustling, may it with our jobs or studies.
This trip may be quick, but it is a refreshing and unforgettable escape. Not just that I get to enjoy myself, but I also enjoy the time we spend with my family. Times like this are so rare for us because my parents aren’t really fond of hanging out because they preferred to stay home and take care of our pets, and I'm just so thankful that they agreed on this unplanned adventure.

Been hearing about that location, however we felt afraid since there was a gossip about that landslide incident happened years ago. Hence, its still a good place to relax and unwind.
