In the last year, I visited Surathali Ella with my friends working in Sabaragamuwa University of Sri Lanka. We started our journey from Pambahinna junction which is close to Sabaragamuwa University. For the journey, 12 of my friends were joined.

We traveled around 7km from Pambahinna junction by bus until we meet the entrance to the Surathali ella which lies on the Badulla - Colombo road. We got off the bus at the entrance and we entered through the entrance.

Surathali ella is located 25km from Balangoda town.In order to access the waterfall, we had to walk in a small foot path. The height of the waterfall is nearly 50-60 meters.

The sweetest spot of the waterfall is the top, where you can observe the landscape. We climbed up the top of the waterfall and it was a magnificent experience. However, the rocks were slippery as water flows continuously, therefore we took enough measures to prevent any accidents.
