A Posh Summer Getaway at Lafaayette Luxury Suites

in TravelFeed2 years ago

Last July, we had an out of town vacation. I was with my sister, my nephews, and nieces. My dad did not join us because he doesn't have the strength anymore due to old age. My sister just hired a driver since it's a long travel. We stayed in one of our local resorts here in Philippines, the Lafaayette Resort, located in La Union. Let's have a tour inside this lovely place.

TAKING A REST AFTER THE TRAVEL

When we arrived, it's automatically picture taking time after unloading all our baggage. While taking a rest, I took some photos of the facilities in this resort.

We stayed at villa no. 10. It has complete stuff that you need. It's very spacious too. It includes dining and living room with big screen tv. It has three rooms and two bathrooms. Each bed is queen size and each room has its own tv and cabinets for your things. They also provide everything you need for cooking. It's very comfortable to stay in the villa.

SEATS AT THE TREE

We are lucky enough to stay in a villa that is right in front of this relaxing hangout place. This is another nice place to stay for someone who wants to have a sit outdoors without worrying about sunburn. The tree provides better shade than umbrellas do. I feel relaxed and comfortable the last time I tried to sit there. This tree has its best look at night with all those lights that make it look classy. These beautiful lights make it possible for guests to hangout there 24/7.

POOL

Philippines is blessed with a lot of beaches in provincial areas and this resort is one of the blessings we experienced. The pool is the best part because of the fact that people can enjoy beating the heat and feel fresh while enjoying the awesome view. I like it best when you can view the beach while you plunge at the pool. We take a dip at the beach and the pool alternately. Another thing I like about this pool is that its depth is just right. The pool is 4-5 feet deep so I can go on anywhere without drowning. Thanks to this pool we had a refreshing stay in the resort.

FOODS

Aside from having a nice ambiance and quality service, the resort also has a very satisfying food. Everything is so flavorful with just the right amount of saltiness. We had two servings for each of the food we ordered for dinner.

Bagoong Rice

The moment my sister saw Bagoong Rice in the menu, she immediately ordered it because we rarely have this kind of fried rice. This is fried rice flavored with shrimp paste and they served it like Korea's bibimbap rice because they included egg, onions, beef and some vegetables on it and you just have to mix them all.

Viands and Dips

The plate on the left is mixed fried platter, which includes fried onions, sweet potato, and pork. We eat fried onions and sweet potatoes like snacks while we mix the pork with the rice. The plate on the right is Singaporean chicken wings, which is the best one we had. This is our favorite. It's so crispy and buttery that really goes well with the dip. Overall, these viands are are flavorful and crispy at the same time even when they got a bit cold after nearly 30 minutes.

They served three flavors of dip. These are mayonnaise, thousand island, and garlic mayo. All of them taste really nice and they go well with all the viands we had. They did a great job for giving off a balanced taste with sourness that contrasts fried foods.

Breakfast

This is the breakfast we had the next day. The breakfast is buffet so you can make the most out of it. I had egg soup, fried rice, sunny side up egg and some meat dishes. The omelette is customized and you can choose the filling. I chose all so I had ham, tomatoes and onions in my omelette. I like their flavorful fried rice too. They put the right amount of garlic in it. The egg soup has the right amount of eggs that you can feel how chunky they are and yet it has a light taste. The meat I had is pork. The meat is tender with a bit of sweetness that go well with the eggs and rice.

Lafaayette is quite a high end resort. Aside from its posh ambiance, they have complete facilities for hanging out, swimming, dining, and night life. They provide everything you need in the villa as well. Personally, this is one of the outings I enjoyed most because of the overall experience I had with this resort where everything is so satisfying, from the ambiance, facilities, foods, and service. Everything in this resort is excellent. I highly recommend that you add Lafaayette to your bucket list and you will surely have an enjoyable summer getaway.
