I did a bus from Singapore to Malacca then up the east Coast of Malaysia way back in 1991. I called it my World hard seat tour !LOL . I don't remember a mini bus or how much but it was more like an old 30 seater public bus. Ha the good old days!

it's something you just have to get used to. I know that when I book a "bus ticket" anywhere in the developing world I am a bit afraid when it comes time to actually see said bus. However, one of my worst bus situations took place in the USA traveling from NYC to, I don't remember where but I had to share a seat with a woman that was so damn huge that she was squashing me next to my armrest. I suppose that wasn't the bus company's fault though.
