Sankampaeong Hot Springs is one of the most popular tourist attraction in Chiang Mai province. It is widely visited by the locals and we were able to include it on a day trip that was part of our Asian loop holiday back in November 2023. We were sort of playing catch up after missing a lot of travel during covid, visiting some family and trying to pick up some international parkruns in south east Asia. We started by getting the cheapest flight we could out of Brisbane in Australia. It was to Singapore for a long weekend and a parkrun then it was another low cost budget airline called scoot who flew us direct to Chang Mia Thailand.
The park is pretty big, spread out over an area of about 40 acres but is easy to walk around.

I did not know it was a thing but lots of people were buying and or bring eggs into the park and cooking them in the hot water. They just get a basket and hang them over the edge wait a few minutes then eat them. It is supposed to bring good luck as well.

Two separated fountains supply water to other streams in the park.
There are many pools and streams in the complex and the further they are from the source the cooler they get. The water is rich in sulphur which seems to smell a bit but is supposed to be really good for you. Grout seems to love it.
There were pools where you could swim but it cost more and the are different pools for males and females. We just opted for a paddle.
Foot and Thai Massages are available at the hot springs and are great value for money. Thanks for visiting.
