How good is it when you have a relative living in a city your travelling to when your young and they are happy to pick up you, put you up and show you around, even in the middle of winter. This was definitely the case for me on my first trip to Canada and my only time in Toronto. It was a cousin I had heard all about from my parents many times but struggled to put all the family connections together. They were as happy to hear all my stories and experiences from Australia as I was to hear all about Canada.
I had to borrow the jacket and gloves from my cousin. It was very cold I did not last long out side at Niagara Falls. It was definitely impressive seeing and hearing that much water going over edge.
I found an old photo of my CN tower ticket, looks like it cost $12 to got to the top.
I had seen snow before but we just do not get this much in any of our major cities in Australia, it is just sort of a mountain thing back home.
I think there was some sort of viewing level within the CN tower of an entertainment area being set up for some circus show.
Just driving are Toronto gave me the feeling I was on a movie set.
One of the cousins was in to Ice Hockey the same way I was Australian rules football which makes perfect sense people just adapt to what ever is around them. He ended up giving me a Wayne Gretzky trading card as a souvenir. It might not be his rookie card but it must be from his early days.

The Great One and he will remain so forever, even if Ovechkin has now broken his goal scoring record.
