15 years ago, I went to UK and had a great time. This trip is one of those golden memories where we went to St Andrews Cathedral & Arbroath on 12th June 2009. Weather was pleasant and it was a nice day to go out. I was accompanied by my brother and two of his friends. My Brother was living in Dundee, Scotland with two of his friends. One of the friend had a car in which we travelled to the different places. The funny thing for me was that this friend with car had a store there for more than 5 years and he is workaholic, in all these years, he didn’t went to any of the places. Maybe because he didn’t get such friend or he didn’t get time from his work to enjoy this life of travelling. He was very excited to explore the places in Scotland.
On 12th of June, we start our day by visiting St Andrews Cathedral, a historical place in Scotland. It has an ancient cemetery, graveyard and tombstones. We just walk around that place. I really liked the walk around the graves. The real thing for us was the pictures, we all were busy taking our pictures to make memories that we went to this place. None of us was interested in history but I am sure that this place holds some of the oldest graves of Scotland and of very important figures of ancient times. Definitely, this place has something unusual about it which I sensed there. The walls, the tower, ruins of the cathedral, they all were saying something of the past which caused all of this. When I went on reading about this place, there are many stories and different theories. Well, what and whom to believe, lets just enjoy the walk around that cemetery.
We were busy taking pictures. There was no one else, just four of us. Suddenly, my bro started making stories that he saw someone out there and he/she vanished. It was daytime so we all just start laughing, good joke. Then he started making stories and got caught in the middle when he smiles, which clearly shows he is making all that up. But seriously, the stories, even fake, were making me crazy on that place and I sensed that there was something besides four of us. However, I was not worried much due to daylight, human-nature, relaxed in daytime but if we would be there in dark, I am sure we wouldn’t be standing for a minute. It was scary and definitely, the ancient structure, graves, tombstones were giving a strange look. There was a time when I was making video, I noticed that someone is following me, I turned and it was nothing. It could be my illusion or over-thinking for that place. But now when I searched about it, yes this place had many horror stories and the one which really gave me chills is about white dress lady.
We moved on to next place and that was Arbroath. I don’t remember why we went to this place, it was not my recommendation but it’s there in the pictures that we went to this place after St Andrews Cathedral on the same day. I saw these pictures and found out the name of the place through Google Lens.
I just remember going to St Andrews Cathedral. However, through these captured moments, it is clear that we went to Arbroath Abbey & Signal Tower Museum but not inside, just walking around these places and taking pictures.
Arbroath Pilot Office And Signal Lighthouse, the location where we spent a bit of time, watching those boats and waves of the sea. It was a pleasant feeling to watch these old pictures and the places I went to, it looks really nice. I enjoyed sharing my trip with you guys, I hope you guys have the same feeling :)
