One day before leaving the amazing city of Lisbon, I decided to do a sailboat's trip with some friends. We went to the harbour just beneath the 25th April's bridge, nowadays well known by the cousin of San Francisco's bridge, once called Salazar's bridge, named by the dictator itself.
It was one of those rare days in Lisbon, that you don't have the sky fully blue. Still, the weather was great for February and there was enough light to take some good pictures! We decided to take this trip with the Lisbon Sight Sailing team, and we couldn't be happier of making this choice.
The very first images we have when leaving the harbour, are the docks of Lisbon. This city is already pretty colorful, but the containers seem to boost the shades of the buildings.
While I was astonished by these new perspectives of the city, the team was making the final adjustments to the sail.
At some point, in the middle of the river, we start seeing all the boats that make the connections between both sides of the river (Tejo it's called). The boats leave some waves behind that can be tricky to prepare the meal.
We finally reached a very peaceful bay near Seixal.
Here, many people tend to park their boats to have a proper meal, and even stay there for a good night rest, without being disturbed by waves and noise.
Definitely an experience worth doing! I could finish with this image above to make your mouth water, but I have a final one that can easily express the peacefulness of the place.
