We just booked our tree house deep into the woods elevated 60+ feet above the ground enjoying our sways with the wind. It was creepy, dark and cold, and dogs and other nightly creatures saw it fit to haunt us with their loud sounds.
Fire Pit was breathing its last, we arrived at around 4:00pm and we had around 90 minutes of light left so we saw it fit to keep the fire going and spend some time in the open around the bonfire. We had access to free firewood and kerosene and we started the fire in no time. Kids enjoyed their s'mores & we enjoyed some tea discussing about our trip and next days plans. We had no internet, no cell phone reception and that gave us plenty of time to play board games in the night with the kids.
Next morning, we woke up earlier than we had planned and had wonderful breakfast cooked on the bonfire that we lit in the morning. We decided to look around and head to the populace and see what this city (Eufaula, OK, population less than 3000) had to offer. We explored around and found this empty sandy beach on the lake all to ourselves.
We then headed towards a 3d mural which was rather beautiful. It was free to access and because it's a low population town, we enjoyed plenty of time taking pictures.
